Volunteers Impacting People Program (VIP) engages persons 55 and older in volunteer service to meet critical community needs, and to provide a high quality experience that will enrich the lives of volunteers. These opportunities increase our communities’ ability to meet the needs of our citizens. VIP is locally funded non-profit volunteer placement organization. VIP receives funding from COCAA and the United Way of Pottawatomie County, grants and private donors.
MEALS ON WHEELS
Meals on Wheels provide (MOW) a hot, nutritious meal, socialization and a well check to home-bound participants five days a week.
VOLUNTEER INCOME TAX ASSISTANCE
Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) provides free tax preparation by trained and certified volunteers for low-income families and Seniors.
FRIENDS OF A SENIOR
Friend of a senior provides gifts to Seniors that do not have anyone to remember them at Christmas.
VALENTINES FOR VETS
Valentines for VET’s provides hand-made valentines to Veteran’s during the month of February.
SHOES THAT FIT
Shoes That Fit (STF) provides a new pair of athletic shoes and socks to Pre-K thru the 5th grade which helps to build the self-esteem and willingness to learn.
